Lily is 10 months and 1/2!

I can't believe Lily is already past 10 months! almost a year old. Overall she's a happy, very energetic little baby.

Her new major accomplishment is getting up on her own! she achieved it for the first time when we were visiting Lucian's parents in Romania. She got up from seating by pulling herself up again the coach, i'll never forget that! and she was so proud the first few times, turning and looking around to make sure everyone saw and singing and moving her head from one side to the other when we would clap to applaud her! She also picked up on clapping btw. Now all she cares about his standing and she goes around her play yard by holding on to the railing. She hates lying down even just to be changed or dressed!

She continues to be very vocal and besides singing while bobbing her head, she has developed her own language which is hilarious because it's punctuated with pauses as if she was thinking about what to say next like..."nah, nah...hummm....dadda...humm..." cracks me up. I thought she started to say "mama" today but i couldn't be sure.

We just came back from a big european trip. It was a lot of driving but she did ok. We had a few fun episodes like changing her on the pavement in San Remo Italy because she started to pee when i removed her diaper or having to look for diapers all over Freiburg in Germany because we were out and it was a national holiday, nothing like it!:) Overall, she was super excited during the trip. She would sit up in her stroller, hands up on the bar/handle and looking up everywhere and at everyone around her. She got a lot of smiles from people, quite a few even took a picture!

Before that we had her Baptism on 05/09. Not a religious, only a civil ceremony at the city hall. It went well, she was very quiet and attentive during the whole thing, took a nap when she needed and played with the packages from the presents she received while everyone was having lunch at the restaurant.

Otherwise she has a couple of teeths:) at the bottom and the rest are growing so she bites her gums often and can be cranky at times. I stopped breasfeeding over a month ago, when she was 9 months, it just felt right and it worked out well for both of us.
