Already 25 weeks!

I can hardly believe it, I’m almost on the last trimester—but according to how my doctor counts the third trimester doesn’t start for 1 more week. In any case the D Day’s approaching, 3 months only! And I’ve been more tired this week. Despite sleeping a lot I have less energy, kind of frustrating for me to admit but I have to do less now. For baby it’s the opposite, judging by how much she moves now…at times my belly visibly raises under her little punches, it’s so cute that I find myself watching my belly waiting for them. Is she going to be into boxing?:)

Baby Moon in Paris

Last weekend we were in Paris for 3 days, probably our last trip just the 2 of us for a while. It was fun! I had my good sneakers on and Lucian’s rain jacket – the only jacket I can fully zip up now – and we walked, we walked everywhere, and when I was too tired we stopped to rest on a bench, like this one in the Tuileries garden where we fell asleep in the sun:) I especially liked the Marais arrondissement with its cute streets full of shops and inviting restaurants, the Orsay museum with all the amazing paintings by Monet, Sisley, Van Gogh and many others. The petit Palais is also well worth the detour, along with the Ile Saint-Louis and Notre-Dame, without forgetting St-Germain, and I loved walking alongside the Seine banks.

We also stopped to say hello to my cousin Anne Marie who now lives in Paris, she took us for a stroll around the Champs-de-Mars, the gardens at the bottom of the Eiffel tower. It was baby’s first trip to Paris and I hope she enjoyed it as much as we did!

I did it!

Didn't gain a kilo since last month!! I was so anxious going to the doc this morning that i thought i was going to trigger an elevation in my blood pressure but not even that. Not only was my blood pressure good but I stayed at the same weight as last time which means i've gained 7 kilos (15 lbs) so far and i'm at 22 weeks so end of the 5th month/begining of the 6th. That's 2 kilos above what the doc recommended (1 kilo/month) but it's back on track. I just need to continue that way, I was sooo relieved! And my diabetes test turned out negative so I'm all in the clear, pweh!
